Summerhill is a natural scenic woodland park for privately owned holiday homes offering peace and tranquility, a place to escape and reconnect with nature.

The park opened in the fifties and is now run by the third generation of the same family.

Our location offers access to open countryside for walking , cycling and exploring on quiet country lanes close to the Lyth valley and southern lakes , and just a short drive to Bowness and Windermere.

Summerhill is only 3 miles from main road links to Kendal , ulverston and the Furness peninsula

Windermere Lake is the largest lake in Europe and alleged home of more than one peculiar sea creature. There are plenty of activities out and about including skiing, boating and fishing on Windermere Lake, there’s also horse riding and golf. Or you can explore the lake from the safety of a ferryboat, which regularly takes passengers from Hawkshead to Bowness. There are lots of National Trust properties worth visiting, also museums and steam trains something for everyone whether it be relaxing or adventure you are looking for.

There are many great places to eat around the Lake District you will never go hungry here! There are also lots of great walks to walk it off.
